Puffins, Seals and Lighthouses Tour

Visit the North Coast and the Scottish islands in search of wild and colourful sea life.

About this experience

NB: Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior for check-in and boarding.


As we depart Ballycastle harbour heading out into Rathlin sound to capture the stunning views of Irelands North Coast, Rathlin Island, Mull of Kintyre and Scottish islands of Islay and Jura.


The tour will make its way East towards Rue Point lighthouse and Ushetport with the basking seals on the rocks. The cliffs around the island are alive with over 100,000 seabirds nesting on the cliffs, highlight of the trip is the puffins often seen on the water as well as on the cliffs.


Perched on top of the cliff Altnacarry Lighthouse 72 metre above sea level. We will have great opportunity to photograph the Puffins, Razor bill, gullimot, kitiwake, skua, gulls, diving gannets and fulmar. A look inside Bruce’s cave where Robert the Bruce took refuge after fleeing Scotland in 1306. This trip lasts for approximately 2 hours

This tour is not suitable for buggies, prams or wheelchairs.


We can not guarantee wildlife on tours but try our best to search for them and will have a Marine Mammal Observor or a scientist onboard to assist.
