Dawn's Daybreak Adventure

Enjoy the sun rising over the North Sea

About this experience

NB: Trips depart at time shown on booking, please arrive at least 15 minutes prior for boarding.

Departing Ballycastle harbour before the village awakens, we depart at daybreak (times vary), slipping out through the harbour mouth in anticipation of the sunrise over the water, making our way eastwards to the rising sun.

The collums of basalt that form the cliffs Fairhead standing tall in the morning light, passing Rue point lighthouse just as the sun appears on the horizon. We hope to see sea birds heading in towards the cliffs sillohuted by the golden sun rising up from the sea. Puffins, gullimot, Razorbill, fulmar, kittiwake, gannet, seals, porpoise, dolphins and possible whale and basking shark all come to life with the rising sun.

The early morning sunrise is a great way to start a day on the North Coast, arriving back in to Ballycastle in time for breakfast.

Things to bring:
