The full circumnavigation only runs a few times a season, and Thursday 6 August is the last one of the year. Once around the whole island: out past the chalk cliffs, under the seabird colony in full voice, past all three lighthouses, with an hour ashore at Church Bay before the sail home.

Rathlin holds one of the UK's largest seabird colonies, and this tour sails right beneath it. Razorbills, guillemots and kittiwakes packed onto the ledges above the boat. You will hear the colony before you see it.

Puffins still in season

Puffins stay around Rathlin until the middle of August, so the last sailing lands inside their season. Grey seals bask on the rocks at Rue Point, and dolphins and porpoises turn up along the route when they feel like it. Wildlife being wildlife, every trip is its own lucky dip. We can't promise sightings, but the crew will always help you look.

All three lighthouses in one sail

This is the only tour that passes all three: the East Light shining since 1856, little Rue Point, and Ireland's famous upside-down West Light with the lamp at the bottom so the fog can't hide it.

Halfway round, the Selkie ties up at Church Bay and the island is yours for an hour. Time enough for the Boathouse Visitor Centre, a coffee or a wander along the bay before we sail for home.
