Choosing your boat tour
All our boat tours sail from Ballycastle harbour, and they are all a bit different. Here is how to choose, straight from the questions our guests ask us.

Sail right around Rathlin Island from Ballycastle: all three lighthouses, the RSPB West Light, Rue Point and the East Light, seabird cliffs and 1 hour ashore.
Children are very welcome on every tour, with child tickets for under 16s.
Carrick-a-Rede is our shortest tour, about an hour and a half along the cliffs, caves and waterfalls, and the only one with infant tickets (ages 1 to 4). The Rathlin tours are two to four and a half hours on open water, which is a long stretch for little ones, so we keep those for when they are a bit bigger.
From April to mid-August: the Puffins, Seals & Lighthouses Tour, two hours to Rathlin Island in search of puffins. Want to set foot on the island as well? Then Wild Rathlin, with a whole hour ashore at Church Bay.
The puffins are back out at sea, and the seals have the rocks to themselves. The Rathlin Seals & Lighthouses Tour takes two hours, and Wild Rathlin adds an hour on the island. The quieter months, often with the softest light of the year.
Wild Rathlin: the island's coast from the water first, then a whole hour ashore at Church Bay. One easy booking, and we bring you back.
Round Rathlin goes right around the whole island, past all three lighthouses, with an hour ashore. It only sails a few times a season, from April to the end of August.
Every sailing depends on safe sea conditions. If we have to cancel because of the weather, you hear it from us fast, and our refund policy explains what happens next.
Dogs sail free, on a lead, and bring something warm for them too. Getting aboard means a step of around half a metre and a couple of steps, and our crew helps everyone aboard. If you have a question about access, message us before you book and we will tell you straight what is possible.
Please be at the boat 15 minutes before departure. Bring warm, waterproof clothes and wear flat shoes. Every sailing depends on the sea conditions.
